A little about Mrs. Wilson...
I graduated in 2009 with my MA in Counselor Education from the University of South Florida. I have worked in private practice and as a substance abuse counselor in the past, but school counseling is my true calling. The 2019 school year marks my 11th year as an elementary school counselor!
My objectives for this year are:

My objectives for this year are:
- Support the students’ social-emotional needs.
- Inspire students to set personal goals and help provide support and resources for children to meet those goals.
- Support children in failing forward to achieve personal success.
- Utilize technology as a resource to connect with students and families.
- Expose students to the limitless possibilities of 21st century careers.
- Promote programs that motivate children to stay in school and that make learning “fun.”
- Recognize students’ achievements so they feel confident and empowered as a learner.
- Be easily accessible to students and viewed as a grown up buddy on campus that they tap into as a resource for solving problems.
- Integrate social skills learning/problem solving into the classroom at each grade level.
- Truly know their students so they can accurately assess their needs. (home life, academic performance, personality, etc).
- Have strong relationships with the parents and community and serve as a liason to help support the child’s whole environment.
